Collaborate between the child and their guardian angel to learn about the broken puzzles and the items used to fix them. The guardian angel knows how to do everything, but can't touch physical items. The child can fix and hold things, but doesn't know how to do any of it.

This is Allegrak (developer) and Obviously_L's (artwork) contribution to MiniJam 152: Heroes.

Controls: WASD/Arrows to move, E to interact with things, Spacebar to switch between characters.

Theme: Heroes. Our hero is the guardian angel, reminding their child that they are always with them and trying to help in any way they can. The child misses their parent and is always looking for signs from them. We tried to convey this concept through the little "messages" the angel sends the child to eventually help them fix the generator and turn on the lights, and how the angel helps leave a sign via a trail of light. We figured a young child would not really know how to fix any of these things, so they aren't able to until the parent tells them how.

Limitation: "Only 2 items". We approached this in a few ways. 1: you control "only 2" characters. We thought it was a cool concept to represent life and death via the two different characters, and it worked with the guardian angel idea we had before the limitation was announced. 2: We also only allow the child to carry 2 items at a time in their inventory - this makes the player have to be selective about which items they will pick up, depending on which puzzle they want to solve.
